Google suggest + google trends + blogpulse = overall trends ?

I’m trying to mix Google suggest + google trends + blogpulse to reveal overall trends in a precise field of research. This experiment comes after a more traditional study based on scenarios and the analysis of results of the main search engines.

Obviously, there is a huge amount of work to be done picking out the right keywords. But, by curiosity, I tried to alterate a first Google trends request :

(Corporate social responsibility) | (CSR), (sustainability) | (sustainable development)

with suggestion brought to me buy Google suggest (I choose the most weighty ones)

| (Corporate social responsability) | (corporate social responsibility reports) | (corporate social responsibility policy),
| (sustainable energy) | (sustainable design) | (sustainable agriculture)

There was no significant effect. so I try with a second request (in french this time):

(RSE), (développement durable)

adding

| (Responsabilité sociale des entreprises) | (responsabilité sociale entreprise) | (responsabilité des entreprises)

There was no significant effect. So I try to add

| (respect environnement) | (commerce équitable)

with no significant effect…

Conclusion 1
Using google suggest was no big deal.

After that I compared overall trends provided by Google Trends (google search request) with the ones supplied by Blogpulse (request among user centric content and research).

Conclusion 2
There is a correlation of trends (anyway in my case) between the two graphics.
